We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking on this website, and we do not operate a cookie banner because we set no non-essential cookies. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and delivery.
We do not collect special category data, we do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
We contact people at organisations that own or operate generation assets, or that consume significant power. Our analysis concerns assets and companies, not individuals — your name and work email are used only to reach the right person at the organisation. Ask us to stop and we will, permanently, on the first request. No justification needed, and it takes one line to info@strandedpower.co.
Only where necessary, and never for anyone else's marketing. Categories of recipient: our email and file-hosting providers, our accountant, our payment processor, and professional advisers where we are required to take advice. Where an engagement requires us to introduce you to a counterparty, we tell you who before we do it and we do not make an introduction you have not agreed to.
Some providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
Enquiries that do not become engagements: 24 months from last contact, then deleted. Engaged clients: six years after the end of the engagement, to match the limitation period and our accounting obligations. Suppression records — the minimum needed to honour an opt-out — are kept indefinitely, because that is the only way to guarantee we do not contact you again.
Under UK GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests — including direct marketing, where your objection is absolute and we must stop. To exercise any of these, email info@strandedpower.co. We respond within one month and we do not charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change how we use personal data we will update this page and change the version and date above. Material changes affecting existing clients will be notified directly.
